The 2016 Mazda MX-5 Roadster was named the 2016 World Car of the Year, as well as the 2016 World Car Design of the Year. The only auto maker to have been nominated for both World Car and World Car Design, the MX-5 won in both categories. Joining its stablemate, the CX-3-was a finalist for the 2016 World Car Design of the Year, as well.
